ftWell, what a whirlwind these past few days have been. It’s nice to finally sit down and catch everyone up with my life!
If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll have noticed that our feed is entirely dominated by pictures of me in and around Paris at the moment. My trip has been absolutely amazing, and I was so sad to leave the city behind. I’ve been once before, but as always, I was left feeling like a few more days to explore would have been ideal.
We started our adventure in the city, staying in a traditional Parisian-style hotel near the Sacre Coeur. What I will say is that although the hotel was beautiful, the area was a little rough.
A trip to Paris is pretty much pointless without stopping off at all the monuments, so, feeling a little jetlagged and tired, Brad and I headed straight for the Eiffel Tower. For some reason, we decided it would be a good idea to save some cash and climb the tower rather than take the lift- BIG mistake. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but that meant I’d sweated half my makeup off before we even got half way up!
Next on the agenda was a walk to the famous wall where you can get a really good shot of the Eiffel Tower (look out for a photo on Instagram soon). At this point we were starving, so we grabbed some hot dog baguettes on the go (hardly healthy but they taste amazing!) and made our way to the Arc de Triomphe where we had a risky selfie in the middle of a busy road.
Our next stop was the Louvre, where Brad joked that he couldn’t believe I’d taken him so far just to see “a triangle”. He cheered up a bit when he saw the water fountains, though, because by this point we were boiling hot, and everyone was dipping their hands and splashing their faces in the cool water.
My sightseeing outfit consisted of a white ruffle detail Boohoo shirt (which has sadly sold out so I can’t link it here), and a baby blue crimped maxi skirt from Primark. I think everyone knows just how obsessed I am with my Boohoo shirt even now- it has such an expensive look and feel for a high street buy. I bought some super cheap Primark pumps to complete the look, and I accessorized with my Atkinson’s Attic choker and H&M sunglasses.
The second half of our trip was the most exciting- we visited Disneyland! Like all girls, I’ve dreamed of going to Disneyland since I was little, and it didn’t disappoint at all. I was so impressed at how much money, detail and time had clearly gone into every little feature of the park. There was no “normal” or “everyday” areas to the park; everything was really strongly themed and created a magical experience.
A day of rollercoaster rides called for more laid back clothing, so I paired my New Look red floral print off the shoulder top with New Look jeans that I bought a while back now. My shirt actually ended up unintentionally complimenting my Minnie Mouse ears- a must buy for anyone who visits Disney- really well! Showing my love for New Look, my bow heeled sandals were also a summer buy from there.
The trip was pretty exhausting, but I’m already feeling major blues to be home. It helps that Em and I are flying to Spain in less than a week for another trip away! We have some really exciting products from Havaianas and Shopical that we can’t wait to show off while we’re there.I hope everyone else is enjoying the sun too.
Catch up soon,
